Podcast «Law Matters»
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I created a Podcast to accompany online teaching.
Concept
In order to provide quality online teaching and ensure that the time together online in class is well spent, I created a Podcast covering the essential theory of my courses in «Law of Sustainable Development» (in English) and in «International Economic Law» (in German). The idea was that students would listen to the podcast prior to the online meeting, so that we could spend the online meeting with addressing in-depth questions and interactive learning units/group work. The concept worked extraordinarily well and students highly appreciated the Podcast and the ensuing interactive online sessions.
The Podcast has gained over 2000 downloads in the meantime and continues to find new listeners. If time allows, I intend to expand and update the Podcast with new episodes on current issues of international economic law, of insights from legal research in the internationalisation of law, and of lessons learned from two research projects addressing sustainable development in the law.
